Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has broken his silence on the recent protest against galamsey that generated confusion between personnel of the Ghana Police Service and the protesters.

During an interview on Angel FM, Kufuor addressed the recent incidents where demonstrators allegedly attacked police officers and violated the law.

His remarks highlighted the need for both accountability and cooperation in tackling the galamsey menace, which has dire consequences for the environment and the livelihoods of many Ghanaians. "If you attack a police officer or take away their car key, you must face the law or be punished.

We can't let that happen," Kufuor stated firmly.
