Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Ghana's Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, has announced the much-anticipated rollout of 5G technology, set to launch on November 1, 2024.
This development is expected to revolutionize the telecommunications landscape in Ghana, offering faster internet speeds, lower latency, and improved connectivity.
She shared this information during an interview with Kwame Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's Kokorokoo.It will be recalled that during a press conference held on May 30, 2024, the minister detailed the government's commitment to enhancing the country's telecommunications infrastructure.
She revealed that Next-Gen InfraCo (NGIC), a consortium comprising the Ghanaian government and seven partners, has been awarded the 5G license.
