Alidu Seidu's journey to professional football is a remarkable tale of resilience after revealing he failed his JMG Academy trials four times.

Born in Kumasi, Ghana, he faced significant challenges early in his career, particularly during his attempts to join the JMG Academy. "I went for trials five times at JMJ academy which was located at Oyibi opposite Valley View University.

First time I was told I am not good enough, same for the second, third, fourth tries," he recalled in an interview with Flashscore.

After his fourth attempt, doubt crept in, leading him to consider a different path: "After the fourth try, I said to myself maybe I won't become a professional player so I almost quit." With aspirations of becoming a soldier if football didn't work out, the Ligue 1 defender was on the brink of giving up.
