The Paramount chief of the Adansi Traditional Area, Adansehene Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II, has underscored the need for Ghana to have a third force that can change the fortunes of the country aside from the two major political parties in the country.
Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II has also accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of state capture and taking everything to themselves instead of looking at the interests of the larger population.
Speaking at his palace on October 8, 2024, when the presidential candidate of the Movement for Change, Mr.
Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, visited him during his campaign in the Fomena Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II insisted that a third party like Alan's can turn things around. "Ghana needs a third party, no doubt about that," Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II stated categorically.
