A 55-year-old man, Benjamin Okyere, has been arrested by police for allegedly setting his girlfriend and her two children on fire at Tanoso in the Kwadaso Municipality of Ashanti.
The incident occurred on October 5, 2024, when Okyere sprayed fuel on the room and set it ablaze while the family slept.
According to Assembly Member Hon.
Aron Nandie, Okyere wanted the woman, Ante Aggie, to send her children away to ensure privacy in a single room they all share.
