Seasoned Broadcast Journalist with Akoma FM, a subsidiary of Media General Limited, Beatrice Spio Garbrah emerged as the Outstanding Female Journalist at the Ghana Women Awards (GWA) 2024.

She was recognized and awarded for conducting in-depth investigations into various social issues, including gender-based violence and corruption that have often led to significant policy changes and increased public awareness.

As an advocate for the rights and safety of female journalists in Ghana, her work has highlighted the unique challenges women in journalism face and have been vocal in pushing for better working conditions and protection for women in journalism.
