Ms Theodore Sarah Afful, the former Deputy Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central Region, has projected an 85% win for the party in the upcoming general elections.
She attributes this to the significant infrastructural and social development initiatives implemented under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
Ms Afful, a native of Gegem in the Cape Coast South Constituency, believes the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy introduced by the current government has revolutionized education in fishing communities, leading to the emergence of graduates in nearly every household.
She recalls that during her childhood, it was nearly impossible for fishermen to afford higher education for their children, but the introduction of the Free SHS policy has changed that narrative. "Growing up in a fishing community, I witnessed firsthand the struggle of fishermen to send their children to higher education.
