Members of the University Teachers Association (UTAG) have started voting on various campuses to decide whether or not to endorse the decision to strike in line with the body's constitution.
Voting has already ended at the University for Development Studies (UDS) which recorded 311 members vote. 86. 5 per cent agreed with the motion that UTAG should declare an industrial action while 13. 5 percent disagreed.
President of UTAG, Prof Mamudu Akurugu is confident all campuses would vote to endorse the decision to go on strike.
He added that the voting will be completed by Tuesday, October 8. "In the case of UTAG, our constitution mandates that individuals have to vote for the declaration of an industrial action and we have started that process already.
