The General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensa Otabil is worried about the current conduct of some men of God in the country.
In a sermon to the congregation on Sunday, October 6, the revered man of God bemoaned the misuse of the 'sacred' title, 'prophet' stating that all prophets are now perceived to be "conmen." Pastor Mensa Otabil noted that the lack of regulatory body for religious leaders has paved way for the once noble title to be "cheapened and commoditised." "How can we take such a sacred title that Isaiah had, that Jeremiah had, all of these great people, and commoditize it and cheapen it so much that now this noble title almost means a conman?
