Ama Governor and eight other Democracy Hub protesters have been granted bail to the tune of GH¢70, 000 each with two sureties.
Over 50 of the protesters were arrested between Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 for disrupting public peace during a three-day demonstration against illegal mining, commonly called galamsey.
The accused persons are expected to report once to the police in a week and deposit their Ghana Cards at the court registry.
This follows an appeal of a decision of the circuit court to deny bail to the nine who are part of some 53 persons arraigned and detained for counts of unlawful assembly, unlawful damage, assault on a public officer and offensive conduct conducive to the breach of the peace.
