The Fetish Priests Association of Ghana, led by its President Kwaku Bonsam, has announced plans to stage a nationwide protest to address the escalating problem of illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey.

The association expressed grave concern over the destruction of the country's natural resources, particularly water bodies and forests, as a result of these illegal activities.

In an interview on Kasapa FM, Kwaku Bonsam stated that the environmental destruction caused by galamsey has reached an intolerable level.

He noted that the association, which boasts over 2,000 members from across Ghana, is determined to take firm action to safeguard the nation's natural resources.
