The #StopGalamsey and #FreeTheCitizens protest has finally come to an end.
The final and third day of the protest was marked by emotional and intense moments.
At the Independence Square in Accra, protesters gathered in large numbers to make their voices heard against illegal mining and to demand the release of their fellow activists who had been detained.
The day began with a march that started at Okponglo, at Legon and moved through some principal streets of Accra.
