Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has urged Organised Labour, not to fail Ghanaians in the fight against illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey.
In an interview on The Big Issue on Channel One TV, Manasseh emphasised the severe consequences of galamsey and the critical role of Organised Labour in addressing this national crisis. "Organised Labour must not fail Ghanaians.
I am already hearing that some of them have started shaking, such as the GMA," Manasseh stated.
He revealed that after publishing an open letter, a credible source informed him that some top leaders within the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) are opposing the fight against galamsey. "When I wrote my open letter, a very credible source reached out to me and said that the very topmost leadership of the medical association, some of them are kicking against it.
