A member of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Communications Team, Alfred Thompson, has urged Ghanaians to take collective responsibility in the fight against illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey.
Speaking on The Big Issue on Channel One TV on Saturday, Thompson stressed that addressing the galamsey problem should not rest solely on President Akufo-Addo.
He noted that the fight requires the active participation of all citizens. "We sit down and we watch and when it gets bad then we come and blame one person that the president is not doing his work well.
It is the responsibility of every good and right-thinking Ghanaian to rise against this," Thompson stated.
