UN's Resident Coordinator for Ghana, Charles Abani has called for a concerted effort at fighting against illegal mining in Ghana.

He believes that all stakeholders must come together in a strong voice to kick against the menace which is destroying water bodies and forest reserves in the country.

A statement from the UN in Ghana also reminded protesters of the need to ensure their protest is peaceful and responsible.
