Ghana has been selected to host the 23rd edition of the International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA).

This will be Ghana's first time hosting the biennial conference that aims at collaborating with other national, regional, and international organizations to strengthen the health system to control and mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis.

The International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA) is a biennial conference that alternates between anglophone and francophone African countries to institute policies and promote research knowledge to support the African government's national responses and strengthen the health system to control and mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and other emerging infections.

The announcement follows an MOU signed between the Government of Ghana and the Society for AIDS in Africa (SAA) at the Jubilee House on Wednesday October 2 to enable Ghana to commence preparations to host the 23rd edition of ICASA in 2025.
