Ghanaian musician Amerado, born Derrick Sarfo Kantanka has opened up about the timing of his song "Date Rush," which was released shortly after King Paluta's hit track "Makoma." In an interview with Joy FM's Kwame Dadzie on Showbiz A-Z, the 2023 VGMA Rapper of The Year addressed the criticism from social media users who believed he should have delayed his release to allow "Makoma" more space in the spotlight.
The artist explained that the release timing was not a matter of overshadowing King Paluta's work, but rather a well-planned decision."Myself and my team, we have plans.
Sometimes people make it seem they think about you more than you think about yourself, which is very bad," he stated.
