Ernest Owusu-Bempah, the Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has accused , the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, of allegedly undermining the presidential bid of (NDC) flagbearer, , for his own political gain.
In an interview on Onua TV on October 2, 2024, Owusu-Bempah claimed that Ablakwa is strategically positioning himself to become a future leader of the NDC by hoping for Mahama's defeat in the upcoming presidential elections.
According to Owusu-Bempah, Ablakwa's actions and public statements show he is more focused on building his political career than supporting Mahama's bid for the presidency.
He further challenged the public to review Ablakwa's previous statements, asserting that the MP has rarely if ever, endorsed or praised Mahama.
