There will be no need for  IMF if galamsey is properly regulated – Bishop J.Y Adu

Adu has indicated that if galamsey is properly done through structured regulations in the country, Ghana will not have to depend on International Monetary Funds (IMF) to stabilize the economy of the country.

During an interview on Accra-based Kingdom FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Bishop Adu believed that if the government puts down some measures to control the galamsey and get their share after the activities, the Chinese would not have the opportunity to invade these sites and mine recklessly without recourse to the environment. "Ghana government has not benefited from these galamsey activities because there is no proper planning.
