A major Islamic finance conference is set to take place in Accra come Saturday, October 5, 2024.

The annual event is under the auspices of the Islamic Finance Research Institute of Ghana (IFRIG).

The theme for this year is "Should economies take advantage of non-interest banking?" Dubbed the Islamic Finance International Conference (IFIC), the event will take place at the Omanye Aba Hall of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm.

True to its international name, IFIC will pool together speakers from outside Ghana along with influential voices in the local ethical-finance eco-system to share ideas and perspectives on the role non-interest finance could play in financial inclusion generally and helping in the short, medium and long-term rebound of the Ghanaian economy.
