Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, Vice Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), affectionately called NAPO, has said former President is to blame for the escalation of unemployment in the country.
He said former President Mahama, during his tenure as Vice President and President between 2008 and 2016 failed to initiate and implement policies and programmes that could have created employment opportunities for the youth.
Failure to create these employment opportunities exacerbated the unemployment situation and led many young people to be frustrated.
