A prisons officer, Gideon Adu Boakye, has reportedly been lynched at Iron City, a suburb of Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region The deceased officer was stationed at the Nsawam prisons in the Eastern Region.
A video shared on X by Metro TV indicated that the remains of the deceased which were found by residents, were retrieved by personnel of the Ngleshi Amafro police command in the morning of October 1, 2024, with severe machete wounds.
The body was pulled out of a drain at the junction of Hope of Restoration School which is located at Red Ball, a suburb of Iron City in Kasoa, few streets away from the deceased officer's home.
His identity and what led to his death was unknown at the time his body was retrieved.
