The Health Ministry says it has reported the issue of an aged woman who was abandoned to die in a bush at Ojobi in the Central region by staff of the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba.
A statement from the Ministry said the committee set up by the Ghana Health Service has concluded its investigations and has recommended that the personnel at the hospital are sanctioned.
However, considering the loss of life involved, the Ministry has therefore reported the issue to the Criminal Investigative Department of the Ghana Police Service.
Also, the issue has been referred to the office of the Attorney General to investigate to ensure the culpability of otherwise of the affected staff.
