After several months of instituting a committee to investigate the death of a woman who was abandoned at Ojobi in the Central Region by the staff of the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba, the report has been made ready.

The Investigative Committee concluded that the staff involved in the matter did not act appropriately and needed to be sanctioned by the Ghana Health Service.

However, the Health Minister, Benard Okoe Boye considering the gravity of the issue, which involves a loss of life has referred the issue to the Criminal Investigative Department of the Ghana Police Service.

The matter has also been reported to the Attorney General for further investigation into the matter to find the culpability of persons involved in the matter.
