The Ghana Police Service has confirmed that starting October 3, a group calling itself Concerned Citizens Against Galamsey will hit the streets of Accra to demonstrate against the menace that has destroyed water bodies and forest reserves in the country.

The protest, which is expected to run for three days, will end on October 5, 2024.

The statement indicated that the police have schooled organizers of the protest on their responsibilities as protesters and their responsibilities as the police.

It, therefore, assured the general public of putting measures in place to ensure peace and security while protesters demonstrate on the streets of Accra. ๐‘๐Ž๐Œ ๐Ÿ‘๐‘๐ƒ ๐“๐Ž ๐Ÿ“๐“๐‡ ๐Ž๐‚๐“๐Ž๐๐„๐‘ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’ pic.twitter.com/7lYaWtJNEr - Ghana Police Service (@GhPoliceService) October 2, 2024 Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) .udfdfeaeb4d4d4710a246996f45e72a74 { padding:0px; margin: 0; padding-top:1em!important; padding-bottom:1em!important; width:100%; display: block; font-weight:bold; background-color:#E74C3C; border:0!important; border-left:4px solid #C0392B!important; text-decoration:none; } .udfdfeaeb4d4d4710a246996f45e72a74:active, .udfdfeaeb4d4d4710a246996f45e72a74:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; text-decoration:none; } .udfdfeaeb4d4d4710a246996f45e72a74 { transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; } .udfdfeaeb4d4d4710a246996f45e72a74 .ctaText { font-weight:bold; color:#F1C40F; text-decoration:none; font-size: 16px; } .udfdfeaeb4d4d4710a246996f45e72a74 .postTitle { color:#FFFFFF; text-decoration: underline!important; font-size: 16px; } .udfdfeaeb4d4d4710a246996f45e72a74:hover .postTitle { text-decoration: underline!important; } READ ALSO:  The Benefits and Drawbacks of Building on Solana for Developers Related Topics:FeatureGhana news Advertisement You may like Arrest of Democracy Hub Protesters won't deter us from more protests - Martin Kpebu Akufo Addo isn't a properly renowned Human Rights Lawyer -  Martin Kpebu Galamsey profits flow to China while Ghana suffers - Bishop J.Y.
