Biggest and oldest UK Boarding School Expo ends in Accra

A three-day British Boarding School Expo has successfully ended at the Marriot Hotel in Accra.

The objective of the Expo was to provide the opportunity for discerning parents and guardians who are interested in educating their children in UK boarding schools, to meet Headteachers and senior staff for some of the leading UK Boarding schools.

It was supported by the Royal Commonwealth Society’s Africa office and the British Council.

John Apea, the Africa Representative of the Royal Commonwealth Society, was full of praise for the Expo.

“The quality turnout, especially on the final day was phenomenal.  We are happy to promote Commonwealth, UK and Ghana trade, the exchange of students and culture,” he said.

On her part, Elaine Cunningham-Walker, the Chief Executive of Everything’s Education, the organisers of the Expo, was thoroughly impressed with the outcome of the Expo.

She is hopeful that participants will take advantage of the numerous opportunities available in the UK boarding school system.

The schools that attended the Expo this year were: Royal Hospital School, Stonar School, St Edwards School (Malta), Culford School, Brooke House School, RMS for Girls, PHC School, St Georges Ascot School.

Others were Woodbridge School, Lancing College, Cardiff Sixth Form College, Millfield School, Queen Anne’s School, King Williams College (Isle of Man), Warminster School and New Hall School.
