Video: I’ve never charged anybody for a feature - M.anifest

Rapper M.anifest has revealed that he has never charged any artiste for a feature.

Born Kwame Ametepee Tsikata, M.anifest, who was speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, noted that his main objective as a musician is to churn out very good songs that will last a lifetime.

He stressed that no amount of money is worth his verse.

“…Believe it or not, I have never charged anybody for a feature. I think very early on we had to make certain decisions that it has to be music first and sometimes it’s all about relationships. In our ecosystem, how much money will someone give me that is worth my verse that will last forever…” he said

The ‘Me Ne Woa’ hitmaker noted that he has featured on songs of various underground artistes without charging a dime.

He narrated an instance where he featured on an underground artiste’s song for free.

“…I rarely check a certain email of mine but recently a young man sent me a song via that email. Randomly I clicked on it and listened to the song. I replied him and I jumped on the remix with him. He is an underground artiste called Gyidii…,” he narrated.

M.anifest was crowned the King of Ghana Hip-Hop in 2017 when he won Best Rapper and Hip-Hop song of the year at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards.
