Samson’s Take: Let’s define dishonesty 998

Saturday's Newfile introduction is long enough so it contains My Take in the first part.

In November 2013, Ghana's Court of Appeal, Coram Justices Marful-Sau, Ofoe and Torkornoo thought, considered carefully, wrote and spoke this healing and life saving truth in repudiating a High Court judgment and finding civil servants "guilty" for facilitating payments to road contractors despite no work done or shoddy work: "...dishonest acts are dishonest acts, and regardless of whether they are supposed to have a benevolent intent ...or malevolent effect of personal gain and abuse of trust by those benefiting from it, it did not change their character of dishonesty.”

The NPP while in opposition told us John Mahama was engaged in a most sinful profligacy because he had 678 staffers at the Flagstaff House.

Tell me why it is not an unforgivable sin of dishonesty for the NPP to be justifying a list of 998 staffers (220 more) for Nana Akufo Addo at the Jubilee House.

When the SSNIT, not EOCO - the investigator or the Attorney-General - the chief prosecutor is calling a press conference to announce arrests and criminal charges against those "indicted" in the bizarre 32 turned 72m dollars  OBS contract, there certainly is no dishonest intention to engender further trial in the media to unlawfully unfairly pronounce guilt ahead of trial by a court, not so?

A leader in the Minority caucus Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah is very hurt that police is inviting some former MP-ministers over accusations of double salaries. She has a very honest defence and insists "[i]t is money from the executive, money from parliament. It is not double salary". Honestly, just how is double payment same as double salary?

We will, honestly, discuss the commonwealth games scandal. The deputy sports minister and all those the President has suspended over the embarrassment caused Ghana, those who have spoken to the press instead of and ahead of the investigations honestly don't know anything about the visa racketeering claims for some 73 persons deported by the Australian government.

Join us honestly analyze the politics and what really matters beyond the politics.

So just be honest about it. But it is honestly not exactly Samson’s Take.
