Mfantsipim shrugs off NANSEC, BOGISS to book quarterfinal

In a not-so-surprising outcome Monday afternoon, Mfantsipim SHS scored 60 points to draw the curtains on the campaigns of Nandom and Bolgatanga Girls SHSs, both from the Northern parts.

The two losing schools may have come well prepared but not enough to upstage the Cape Coast-based giants who are two-time champions of the NSMQ.

Mfantsipim proved their supremacy right from Round One, scoring 24 points while Nandom trailed 11 points and Bolgatanga ‘tortoising’ with a single point.

After the speed round, the Nandom and Bolga Girls failed to add to their tally but the ruthless Mfantsipim will not spare them; only 2 points short of doubling their Round One points.

The problem of the day caused more problems for Nandom and Bolga Girls but the now known victors salvaged 4 out of a maximum 10 points.

Mfantsipim added 4 more points in the fourth round to widen the gap after the trailing Nandom had 2 points deducted.
