Video: Man forgets ring during public proposal

A young man’s attempt to pop the big question to his girlfriend through a surprise did not really turn out as he had planned.

A rejection - a ‘no’ answer from the lady - would have even been better.

The man, name unknown, after taking the lady out on a date, went down on his knees to propose to her in front of people who were eagerly waiting to see the love tale.

The gentleman had even hired the services of a singer who was excitedly singing with a guitar.

As some pulled out their phones at the venue in Benin in Nigeria to record the proposal, the unexpected happened, the man forgot the ring!

Like an unfolding drama, the lady slapped the man, probably out embarrassment.

So apparently this happened in Benin, just opposite Uniben maingate at the same Naida bakery that was rumoured to be sold by a Yahoo boy, this guy was supposed to propose to the love of his life.. But then couldn't find his ring...
