Ogilvy Ghana Creative Head appointed Group Creative Director

Ogilvy Ghana has announced that its Ghana Creative Director, Lesibane Mohale, has been elevated to the position of Group Creative Director of Ogilvy Africa Group.

The new role, which took effect from 1st of May, is in recognition of Lesibane’s sterling performance since he joined the Ogilvy team.

“Lesibane has been instrumental in creating a strong creative hub for Ogilvy and this has resulted in a tremendous improvement in the quality of the region’s strategic and creative output over the years. I am confident, he will continue with this as our ambitions across Africa are growing bigger,” remarked Akua Owusu-Nartey, Regional Managing Director, Ogilvy Africa.

Prior to joining Ogilvy Ghana, Lesibane was the Creative Director & Senior Copywriter at Geometry Global (formally Ogilvy Brand Activation) where he steered the delivery of creative solutions to a wide range of clients across Africa. He also had a stint with TBWA Hunt Lascaris as a Creative Group Head and Copywriter but started his career at DDB SA as a junior Copywriter.

He has been a copywriter, a strategic thinker and a creative leader driving change and has been responsible for Ogilvy Ghana’s exclusive creative works. He is known for his strength in integrated communications, as well as his passion for the development of his team of creative professionals.

He has worked on a number of multi-national brands that include MultiChoice, Unilever, KFC, Sun International, Honda cars, South African Breweries, Phillips, GSK, Vodacom and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.

Lesibane currently oversees the creative development of Coke WABU (West Africa Business Unit) which includes over 30 markets in Africa.  He led the Ogilvy Ghana team to win a number of awards including the Advertising Agency of the year 2016 in Ghana as well as a number of other international awards.
