Aduana's group stage qualification not sealed yet - Abubakar after 6-1 win

Aduana Stars head coach Yusif Abubakar claims his side’s qualification to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup is not sealed yet despite their 6-1 win in the first leg play-offs against Madagascar's Fosa Juniors.

The Ghanaian champions produced an outstanding performance to brush aside Fosa at the Nana Agyemang Badu Stadium on Sunday.

Two goals each from Sam Adams and Elvis Opoku with other two from Bright Agyei and Zakaria Mumuni helped the Fire Boys secure a convincing home win after falling behind in the fourth minute of the encounter.

"Never at all. I always say football is 90 minutes and extra time. If you are able to score six and then the opponents get a goal. Although the one goal might not be enough as if the margin was narrow," Abubakar said.

"They (Fosa Juniors) can also take the time to score six at their home within the same 90 minutes so we need to make sure we remain focused."

"I will only celebrate after the second leg if we make it to the group stage of the competition,"

"I am happy at the moment though but it is not over. We have to make sure we qualify completely."

Aduana will face Fosa in the return leg on April 18.
