Medeama boss commends players after ending WAFA's enviable record

Medeama head coach Samuel Boadu has lauded his players after they ended WAFA’s unbeaten home record following a 2-1 win on Wednesday.

The Tarkwa-based side became the first team to beat WAFA in Sogakope - the Academy Boys’ first defeat in 47 games.

Charles Boateng scored first for the Academy lads before Justice Blay drew the visitors level at halftime.

Before Kwesi Donsu struck a sensational goal in the 57th minute to seal the big win and all three point for the visitors.

"It was a perfect game even though we conceded the first goal, but we came back to score two goals. We played good possessive football, the boys showed character, commitment and confidence in their play even after conceding,’’ Boadu said.

Medeama have moved to the second spot following the win while WAFA have dropped to 10th.
