The 8 Women Who Got Ministerial Positions In Prez Akufo-Addo's Second Term - Kuulpeeps - Ghana Campus News and Lifestyle Site by Students

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on January 21, 2021, submitted to Parliament, for vetting and approval, of names of persons he has appointed to take up ministerial positions in his next government.

He nominated a total of 46 persons for the ministerial positions – 30 central government ministers and 16 regional ministers.

Out of the 46 ministerial nominees, 8 are women. They include Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Sarah Adwoa Safo, Mavis Hawa Koomson, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway and four others.

Here are the 8 women who got ministerial positions in President Akufo-Addo’s second term of office:

Ursula Owusu-Ekuful

Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, MP for Ablekuma West, was retained in her Ministry. However, her Ministry has been given additional responsibility with digitalisation, and is now known as the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation.
