The Asante Kotoko lineup that should start against Aduana Stars On Sunday Featured

The two teams after a torrid start to the season have managed to turn things around and are in a good form heading into Sunday's clash.

Kotoko drew 1-1 with WAFA away with Aduana Stars recording a 2-1 victory over Legon Cities last weekend. The Fabulous were also 1-0 victors over Ebusua Dwarfs in last monday's outstanding fixture.

With a run of fixtures coming up that is looking increasingly difficult, Johnson Smith must assess his options and look to sustain their fine form to drum home confidence while also having the opportunity to halt their title rivals' momentum. This is the starting lineup that Kotoko should go for.

Razak Abalora (GK) - The undisputed number one. He must start as Kotoko look to maintain their recent run of fine form.

Christopher Nettey (RB) - The only real option at right-back right now, he scored to hand Kotoko the maximum points against Ebusua Dwarfs on Monday and will be expected to do the same again.

Abdul Ganiyu (CB) - Arguably the club's best player this season, he must start in this game.

Mubarak Yusif (CB) - Has come back into the side recently and although he divides opinion among the club's fans, he is likely to start at the heart of Kotoko's defence.

Ibrahim Imoro (LB) - Quick, strong, excellent defensively, and always a threat going forward, Imoro's inclusion is almost guaranteed in a game of this importance.

Habib Mohammed(CM) -  He was assigned a midfield role against Dwarfs and he did thrive. His energy and tackling are vital in big games, and he should keep his place in the team to ensure Kotoko are strong defensively.

Emmanuel Sarkodie (CM) - The best technical footballer at the club, he's been criticised for slowing the game down too much but he has too much quality to leave him out of the side.

Fabio Gama (AM) - A breath of fresh air every time he takes to the field in a Kotoko shirt. His explosive style is extremely pleasing on the eye. He has another opportunity to shine in the famous red shirt.

Emmanuel Gyamfi (RW) - His form has been poor for the most part this season but Smith is light on options on the wings and he needs his vice-captain in form.

Patrick Asmah (LW) - The former youth star has struggled to make an impact at Kotoko. He needs to take any opportunities he's afforded.

Kwame Opoku (CF) - Opoku is in good form and his attacking instincts could beo help on Sunday. With his six goals to his name, Opoku could increase his goal tally against Aduana Stars.
