Legon Cities' Jonah Attuquaye unhappy with 1-1 draw with Berekum Chelsea

Attuquaye neatly converted a penalty in the 36th minute of the game to give the Royals a point after the Blues took the lead from the spot kick through Stephen Amankona in the 23rd minute at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday evening.

The expectations were that the 'Money Boys' would come out victorious after making several signings on the transfer deadline including former Kotoko midfielder Baba Mahama and ex Aduana Stars captain Elvis Opoku who was adjudged Man of the Match in yesterday's game as well as Ghana's all-time topscorer Asamoah Gyan who missed the game through injury.

However the City Boys had to settle for a 1-1 draw and that did not make Jonah Attuquaye a happy man on Saturday evening.

"Not the results we wanted tonight but it's still a long way to go," unhappy Jonah Attuquaye told reporters after the 1-1 draw.

"We will work very hard in training and aim at winning the rest of our games," he ended.

Legon Cities will travel to play Olympics whiles Berekum Chelsea host Kotoko in the match-week two of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
