I never doubted my wife – Afua Asantewaa’s husband

The husband of Afua Asantewaa, Kofi Aduonum, has revealed that he is not the least bit surprised by his wife’s extraordinary journey towards shattering the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon.

Throughout the past five days, he has stood steadfastly by her side at the Akwaaba Village, offering unwavering support and swelling with an overwhelming sense of pride as he witnesses her remarkable progress.

During an interview with TV3, Kofi exuded confidence in Afua’s abilities, making it clear that he never harboured any doubts about her capacity to achieve such an awe-inspiring feat.

The support started from the very beginning, and it has been massive.

Afua has received an incredible amount of support, with influential figures like Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and former President John Mahama sending messages of encouragement.

Not only that, but popular musicians such as Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, and Kuami Eugene have also made visits to the Akwaaba Village to show their support.

It’s truly heartwarming to see such overwhelming support for Afua.

In 2012, Indian singer Sunil Waghmare set a record by singing for 105 hours.

However, Afua has already surpassed that impressive feat and is determined to break the record by singing for 115 hours.
