Shatta Wale Drags Serwaa Amihere, and other celebs over comments made about Afua Asantewaa

Serwaa Amihere and other celebrities have come under fire from Shatta Wale over comments made about Afua Asantewaa getting support from Nigerians on social media.

The brouhaha started when some celebs, including Serwaa Amihere, quizzed why Nigerians were not endorsing Afua while Ghanaians were vigorously endorsing Hilda Baci when she was embarking on her longest cooking marathon which she ultimately achieved.

Serwaa Amigere took to Twitter to ask, “Has any Nigerian tweeted in support of Afua?”

This conversation has sparked widespread discussion online, reigniting the longstanding rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria.

Shatta Wale, nevertheless, feels that the criticism’s focus is off.

today, Afua Asantewaa achieved the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual, singing for a remarkable 105 hours.

Sunil Waghmare, an Indian singer, currently holds the record, but Afua Asantewaa has set her sights on surpassing it by singing for 115 hours.

This would establish a new Guinness World Record for the longest sing-a-thon, following the previous record set in 2012.

Since she began her singing marathon at midnight on Sunday, Afua Asantewaa’s unwavering dedication and determination have become a source of inspiration for musicians throughout the country.

Esteemed artists such as Shatta Wale, Sista Afia, Sarkodie, Kwabena Kwabena, Efya, and Kuami Eugene, among others, have travelled to the Akwaaba village to show their full support.

It should be noted that the influence of this project goes beyond the boundaries of Ghana, as Afua’s expedition has garnered global recognition, showcasing the country’s artistic talent and cultural abundance on an international platform.
