Ghanaians mock Stonebwoy over Grammy snub; Berla Mundi reacts

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has missed out on a coveted spot in the Grammy Awards nominations for his latest album, “5th Dimension.”

The list, however, features some prominent names in the African music scene.

Notable mentions include Nigerian superstars Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, Arya Starr and Olamide and South African breakout artiste Tyla, who gained widespread attention with her viral single, “Water.”

Following the disappointment of Stonebwoy missing out on a Grammy nomination, opinions have been divided among Ghanaians on social media over what might be the causative factors of the Grammy snub.

While some of the netizens are mocking Stonebwoy, the minority including Berla Mundi has decided to console Stonebowy.

In a tweet, Berla Mundi highlighted Stonebwoy’s hard work and encouraged others to appreciate his ongoing strides.

She emphasized the need to support artists in their global endeavors and drew attention to the unwavering fan support that Nigerian artists receive.

Regardless, despite high hopes and positive expectations surrounding Stonebwoy’s potential historic nomination at this year’s Grammys, it appears that the dream will have to wait for now.
