Just In: Black Galaxies players vow to boycott CHAN games as Sports Ministry sit on their $6000 bonus – Super Obondede reveals

Ghana Black Galaxies exhibited a five-star display to beat Sudan 3-1 in their second Group C game of the ongoing 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) to secure qualification to the quarter-finals of the tournament.

A shock defeat to Madagascar in their opening Group C game had left the Black Galaxies on the brink, knowing any thing but a win would have ended Ghana’s tournament dreams.

After going down in the 31st minute, the Black Galaxies fought back strongly and got the equalizer after Konadu slotted in from close range just before the halftime break.

Ghana was awarded a penalty in the 63rd minute after Afriyie Barnieh was brought down in the box and the striker converted nicely to put the Black Galaxies ahead in the game.

The win made it possible for Black Galaxies to go through to the quarterfinals of the ongoing competition in Algeria.

However, ahead of the quarterfinals of the tournament, sports journalist has revealed that the Black Galaxies players have vowed to boycott their next game in the CHAN tournament as the Sports Ministry has failed to give them their $6000 qualification bonus.

This wickedness on the part of the ministry is making the Black Galaxies players have a bad relationship with CHAN management in Algeria as they have vowed to either boycott their next game or lose the game, ceteris paribus!
