Journalist Super Obondede exposes Atta Poku over Finance Ministry giving $800,000 to GFA

Collins Atta Poku, a well-known sports journalist, claims that Ken Ofori-Atta, the minister of finance, gave the Ghana Football Association (GFA) $800,000 to cover match expenses during the September 2022 international break.

.

“Got in touch with 3 Majority MPs who told me they were dismayed to find out the Finance Minister paid almost $800,000 to the Ghana Football Association just last week, in spite of all the challenges we face

The money covers their expenditure in the Brazil and Nicaragua games,” Atta Poku of Sompa FM fame tweeted on October 25, 2022.

Fast forward, highly-opinionated Super Obondede of Kumasi-based Light FM has responded accordingly to the claims made by Atta Poku

According to sports journalist , whatever Atta Poku said in the tweet is a calculated attempt to distort and incite Ghanaians against the GFA, Black Stars players ahead of the Qatar World Cup.

Super Obondede furthered that the Finance Ministry doesn’t deal directly with the GFA, therefore, it’s ridiculous for Atta Poku considering his caliber in the game to make such a damming allegation.
