My relevance in the Ghanaian music industry does not depend on TikTok trends - Fameye

Ghanaian Highlife artist Peter Fameyeh Bozah, often known as Fameye in the music industry, has stated that his relevance in the Ghanaian music industry is not dependent on TikTok trends.

The reigning composer of the year at the recent VGMAs, TikTok, revealed in an interview with lifestyle and celebrity blogger Zionfelix on the Uncut Show that TikTok never affirms that a song is fantastic and has to be rated at the top.

He said that his passion has always been to create wonderful music, and while he has no objections to the TikTok community assisting with marketing, their claims of being the ones behind all the trending songs are unsubstantiated.

He also stated that he would never discriminate against musicians that use TikTokers to market their songs, but that this does not give them the right to make false claims about their abilities in the music industry.

Fameye also stated that music is far greater than TikTok and that he does not need the platform to make his songs popular.
