Rapper Sarkodie has reacted happily to Asamoah Gyan’s decision to join Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities and has said his presence will make the local game exciting.
The Black Stars top scorer was unveiled today by Legon Cities as their new acquisition who has signed a season-long deal and will be earning more than $1M in cash and other packages.
This move automatically makes him the highest-paid player in Ghana after he rejected interests from Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Accra Great Olympics amongst others.
Asamoah Gyan, who is still the darling boy of many local football-loving fans just like Sarkodie believe this new move back to the Ghana Premier League will give the league a new outlook, appeal and recognition since everybody will be looking forward to seeing Asamoah Gyan play, a man whose memories is etched indelibly on the hearts of many.
This move by Asamoah Gyan has also incited Sarkodie to express interest in following the local game. In multiple tweets, the Sarkcess Music CEO said he is ready to follow the teams in the Ghana Premier League and is looking forward to performing at one of the game centres.
