The EndSARS protest which has otherwise been peaceful since it started days ago turned bloody when a bunch of inhuman soldiers opened fire on protesters at Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday.

Protesters are calling on Nigerian authorities to disband the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) which is notoriously famed for illegal arrest, extortion, murders, harassment, and other social vices which are unbecoming of a police force.

Although the government has listened to the protesters and disbanded the police unit which was created in late 1992 to deal with crimes associated with robbery, motor vehicle theft, kidnapping, cattle rustling, and firearms, the protest is still ongoing as people call for total reformation in all aspect of Nigeria’s political system.

In the cause of the confusion which occurred on that infamous night, one unidentified woman lost her life. The emotional photo of the lady being conveyed to the hospital in the bloody flag will definitely make you teary.
