Ghanaian actress, model, philanthropist, human right activist and entrepreneur Lydia Forson has blamed Ghanaians for giving too much power to politicians without accountability for their actions.
According to Lydia in a series of Tweets, it is time for Ghanaians to wake up and realise that Politicians only remember it’s citizens during elections.
Lydia Forson advised Ghanaians to demand accountability from the politicians.
“The problem is that beyond voting, we all go back to our daily lives and leave politicians to run this country as they please. Very few have an interest in the decisions our leaders make, so they treat the country like their personal property until the next elections”. She said in her tweet.
“If your vote was worthless, politicians wouldn’t be playing “chaskele” every 4 years to get it.” she added.
