Adisco old boys’ to withdraw support from school over transfer of headmaster

National President of the Adisadel College old students Association, Kojo Yankah has revealed there has been a decision among the old students to withdraw all their support to the school for government to bear all the responsibility to develop the school.

According to Professor Yankah, there is a serious agitation among the old students concerning recent happenings in school which has led to the interdiction and transfer of their hard working headmaster Mr. William Kusi-Yeboah.

In an interview with Adom News, Prof Kojo Yankah stated the old students are not happy about how the matter is being handled because the situation is seriously affecting academic work on campus.

“We have supported the school since 1910 if not; the college would have collapsed by now but the old students have decided to withdraw all the support we have been giving to the school.”

Prof Kojo Yankah also added the community that was set up to investigate the issue that led to the headmaster’s interdiction has not given the old students any adverse findings against the headmaster.

He stated all attempts to get to the committee to have access to the findings have proved futile.

He however urged the Ghana Education Service to depoliticize the Ghanaian education system because it is likely to destroy the future of the students in Ghana and rather focus on completing abandoned GETFUND projects to accommodate the increasing student population.

Prof Kojo Yankah also revealed the school’s PTA is not happy about the ban on PTA levies but urged them to rally support for the return of their visionary and hardworking headmaster, Mr. William Kusi-Yeboah.
