Presidential Convoy Crash: 'There was no oxygen in the ambulance' – Alex Tetteh

Alex Tetteh, President of Citizen Eye Ghana, has claimed that there was no oxygen in the ambulance vehicle in the presidential convoy, one of which was involved in a crash on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

According to Alex Tetteh, who indicated that he was at the scene of the crash, the presidential driver who lost his life in the accident could have survived if there had been oxygen in the ambulance.

He said that the police officers and soldiers in the convoy looked on helplessly as their colleague died.

He could not understand why there would be no oxygen in the convoy that was supposed to be transporting the president of the nation.

Officials of the Jubilee House, the protocol service, and national security should hang their heads in shame; the car that was being used as an ambulance in the presidential convoy did not have even one (tank of) oxygen," he said in Twi.

A vehicle in the presidential convoy was reported to have crashed with a Kia Rhino on Sunday.

The Office of the President, in a statement issued subsequently, confirmed reports of the crash but stated that several vehicles in the presidential convoy were involved in a crash.
