How I met Otumfuo Osei Tutu II – Lady Julia

At a dinner ceremony celebrating the birthday of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Lady Julia shared the story of how she met her husband while delivering a speech.

Lady Julia recounted their meeting at an Ecobank event in Kumasi, where the Asantehene was in attendance.

According to her, Otumfuo Osei Tutu told her that he was captivated by her after the event.

"I met Otumfuo 22 years ago when I was overseeing legal affairs at Ecobank.

Ecobank was inaugurating a branch in Kumasi, and Otumfuo was present.

Despite the rain after the event, he stayed back to ensure he learned who I was and how to contact me before leaving the venue.
