How Kwame Nkrumah predicted Ghana's struggles - Major (rtd) Gordon Amenyah recounts

At an undisclosed event, the soldier, who identified himself as Major (rtd) Gordon Amenyah, recounted Nkrumah's words, urging officers to defend both Ghana and his leadership, warning that failure to do so would lead to future hardships for the nation.

What I gathered from that speech was that… ‘I have commissioned you these officers to defend Ghana and defend me, Nkrumah.

If you fail to defend me, Ghana will suffer in the future.’.

The veteran lamented that Nkrumah's cautionary words have come to pass, as he believes Ghana is currently facing difficulties.

He spoke of opponents who, unable to lead Ghana to independence, have since harboured resentment towards Nkrumah's achievements.

That speech in 1963 has come true.

So they developed a sheer deep hatred to destroy everything that Nkrumah did.
