Kwesi Pratt reacts to NPP's alleged 'wee' sharing at Ejisu

He questioned why members of the ruling government would resort to distributing marijuana, a substance that has not been legalized in the country, to some of the youth in a bid to get their votes.

The Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper fumed at the recent trend in which political parties deploy desperate tactics in the quest to win elections, adding that it does not speak well of democracy.

Pratt stated that he is horrified by the events that characterized the Ejisu by-elections, especially the marijuana allegations.

Because, as far as I know, the consumption of that substance is still illegal.

I know that it has been legalized in many countries.

Pratt made those comments after reports were rife that some members of the NPP distributed marijuana to some constituents to influence their voting decisions in the party’s favor.
